You have chosen to visit Gwynedd, Wales' most north-westerly point. The Caernarfon area offers something for everybody; beautiful scenery, an abundance of history and culture, unspoilt beaches, sporting facilities, walking, mountains, fishing, pony trekking - in fact the perfect base for touring in all directions. Ideally situated between Anglesey (from where you can take a day trip to Ireland) and the majesty of Snowdonia.

Here at Cwm Cadnant Valley Caravan and Camping Park we feel we can offer you a base to discover some of Wales' most spectacular and historical landmarks.

Cwm Cadnant Valley is a family park set in the small valley of the River Cadnant, a gentle running stream that once fed the moat of the nearby magnificent Caernarfon Castle. The location provides a quiet haven within a ten-minute walk of Caernarfon town centre.

The park is laid out amongst mature trees and extends to approximately 4½ acres. There are 35 pitches for tourers, set out on terracing including 5 hard-standings, the majority of pitches with electrical hook-ups. The 24 tent pitches are set out on both sides of the stream. Backpackers and cyclists are accommodated on their own area of 9 pitches at the top of the site. The site is well equipped with a children's play area, launderette, sheltered dishwashing facilities and barbecue area. The toilets contain hair dryers, showers, shaver points and plenty of hot water. We also have a "family room" and a accessible washroom for those with mobility restrictions.

The reception area contains a full range of tourist information about the local area. Calor Gas and Camping Gaz can be purchased here (we can usually source BP Gas light within 24 hours) and we also offer an ice-pack freezing service. We also have a payphone in reception.

We recognise that owing to the nature of the site and the existing facilities it is possible that certain people may be disadvantaged for access. The management and staff will work with individuals and their helpers as appropriate to take all practicable actions to reduce this inconvenience. If you feel that you have a special access requirement that may cause problems with a proposed stay at Cwm Cadnant Valley, please feel free to contact us to discuss possible resolutions. We also have a fuller access statement available.

For the benefit of all the visitors, we close the security barrier between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., arrangements can be made for early departures for day trips to Ireland etc.

For your security, the owners are resident on site and available at all times.

A small supermarket and off-licence is situated 200 metres from the site and is open early to late every day. Two major supermarkets (Morrisons to the north, and Tescos to the south) are situated within ten minutes of the site as well as the usual facilities of a town i.e. restaurants, pubs, takeaways, banks, post office etc.

The Arfon Leisure centre is situated approximately 1km along the Bethel Road. The facilities available there include a sports hall, swimming pools, fitness room, squash, and tennis both indoor and outdoor. Equipment is available for hire. They also sell hot and cold refreshments.
